At CES Chinese company Alcatel showed off the affordable Alcatel oneTouch Fierce XL Windows 10 Mobile phone. The $140 handset features a Snapdragon 210 processor, meaning it is unlikely to excite high-end buyers.
Speaking to CNET, senior vice president of the North America region for Alcatel Steve Cistulli, however revealed the company was planning to release multiple Windows 10 Mobile handsets in 2016, including a “superphone.”
“We’re going to have the leading specs to take on the best smartphones,” Cistulli said in an interview at the company’s briefing room in the Encore Las Vegas ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show. “We’re committed to Windows 10.”
Cistulli did not reveal the specs of the device but we assume we are talking at the very least a USB-C enabled Continuum device.
