We’ve now had a pretty big expose on the still officially unannounced Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, and it looks to be the one which aims to bring feature parity with other mobile operating systems, from small to big features.

This includes elements such as support for super-high resolution screens, virtual navigation buttons, the ability to share a screen wirelessly, store applications on memory cards, a more up to date browser, VPN support and a choice of keyboard styles.

At the same time many some features which were uniquely Windows Phone, such as Twitter and Facebook integration, and even a very consistent device to device user experience, appears to be falling by the wayside, and nothing revealed so far is really replacing these unique features.
