Well, who needs two competing browsers when one is exactly the same as the other? It seems Google is looking to convert that wayward 4% of desktop web users that still use Edge by copying all the features of that browser.

First, we had Dark Mode, and today we hear that Google is planning to add Tab Hover Cards, which gives you a preview of the content of a tab, to the Chrome browser.

A commit for the bug says “Add a flag seperately enable hover card preview images. CL which actually implements images is forthcoming.”

The flag is not working yet, but should start working shortly.

I’ve never found hover cards very useful, feeling it slows down finding the right tab. What do our readers think of this move? Let us know below.
