WindowsblogItaly posted this quick demo of NFC sharing between a Windows Phone 8 handset, the Nokia Lumia 820, and a Windows 8 (actually RT) tablet, the Asus VivoTab RT.

As the video shows transferring files are pretty effortless, and the Windows will automatically open a viewer for the file type and asks where to save the content.

NFC is not strictly needed, as files can also be transferred over Bluetooth alone.
