Twitter has debuted a new way to check out profiles on iOS without leaving your timeline. When in a conversation, or simply scrolling down the TL, users can tap on @ handles to bring up a quick overview of the profile mentioned.
From there, users can see who they’re talking to and even follow them (although actions such as blocking and muting aren’t immediately available).

The new preview system works on Android devices as well, despite only iOS being mentioned. It seems to be account specific from my testing, as my main account doesn’t feature this yet others do.

Twitter will be watching user response to this feature before they roll it out completely, so be sure to let them know what you think.
