Sky News app was released for Windows 8.1 devices back in 2013 and it was a native Windows 8.1 app with support for Live Tile, breaking news notifications, snapped view support and more. Recently, this Sky News app has stopped working on Windows PCs.
Now, Sky team has released a new app in Windows Store which only works on Windows 10 devices. Unfortunately, this new app is a web wrapper of Sky News website. It lacks almost all the highlight features of its old app, but we can hope that Sky team will update their new app with better OS integration in the future.
With this new app, you can do all the basic things like watch live tv, read the latest stories from the newsroom, check weather forecast, and more.
