Microsoft today announced a new Cortana experience on Edge web browser that will help you save money and time during online shopping. This new Cortana feature will help users find the best pricing for the product they are viewing on Edge. Currently this feature supports 14 retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, within the US. Microsoft is planning to increase the availability and the number of retailers they support in the coming months.

For example, if you visit Surface Pro listing on Amazon, Cortana will notify that Surface Pro is now available for lower price on different retailer. Users can then click on the Cortana icon, the product information will be displayed in the right pane within the same window.

Cortana will notify you if the relevant details are available only at the time of your visit. If you are looking for something that will automatically notify you when the price of a particular product comes down, check out Microsoft’s Personal Shopping Assistant extension. PSA automatically capture and save product information from product pages you browse. You can additionally save products you love to “Favorites” and get notified when their prices change. Check it out here.
