Following the leak early today, Samsung today officially announced the Galaxy Tab S5e, its slimmest tablet ever. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is meant for media consumption, so people will be holding it in their hands most of the time. To make it ultra-portable and comfortable for consumers, Samsung has made it incredibly thin. The Tab S5e comes with a 5.5mm sleek metal body, and weighs only 400g. Despite its slim profile, Samsung claims that this tablet will offer up to 14.5 hours of battery life.
The 10.5-inch Edge to Edge Super AMOLED Display comes with a 16:10 screen ratio and an 81.8% screen-to-body ratio to offer immersive viewing experience. The Quad Speakers along with Dolby Atmos integration and sound by AKG enables great audio experience. The Tab S5e will also offer decent performance, thanks to 64bit Octa-core processor and 4GB + 64GB or 6GB + 128GB memory/storage configuration.
On the software side, the Tab S5e is the first tablet to offer Bixby 2.0 using which you can interact with your device, and also control your connected home devices. Samsung is also offering YouTube Premium service free for up to 4 months and Spotify Premium for 3 months when you purchase this device.
The Tab S5e will be available in the U.S., Germany and other select countries from 2Q 2019.
