Microsoft today announced the first update to Windows Phone 8.1, including improvements and new features based on Microsoft’s customer feedback. The new features in Windows Phone 8.1 update include the following,
- Live Folders introduces an easy way organize and further personalize Start
- Live Tile Store updates will show updates automatically to quickly see what’s new
- Select multiple SMS messages for mass forward or deletion
- Apps Corner allows businesses to provide access to specific apps in a special “sandboxed” mode
- Send and receive data through VPN on Wi-Fi and create your own VPN on home wireless for further enhanced security
Microsoft said that this update will be available through the Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers next week and to customers broadly in the next couple of months.
