Thanks to Facebook and Instagram, live video broadcasting has become a hit among consumers. Every other service is now adding support for live video. Microsoft’s LinkedIn is also joining the live video broadcasting market with its new product named LinkedIn Live. LinkedIn Live is now available in beta in the US, but it is invite-only at the moment.

LinkedIn hopes that LinkedIn Live will be used to cover conferences, product announcements, Q&As and events led by influencers, and more. LinkedIn has also partnered with Wirecast, Switcher Studio, Wowza Media Systems, Socialive and Brandlive for developing content for LinkedIn Live. With over 600 million LinkedIn users globally, I’m sure LinkedIn Live will become a success in the coming months.
