HVAC company Johnson Control has introduced a new smart thermostat powered by Microsoft’s Azure and Cortana.

GLAS is powered by Windows IOT and Azure Cloud, and features voice control powered by Cortana Voice Services.

It features an elegant user interface that knows when you are in the room, what the air quality is inside and out, and is able to manage your ventilation and heating intelligently based on a number of factors.

With heating and cooling 40% of the energy expense of a commercial building, Johnson Control hopes to find a ready market for their elegant thermostat, which they say brings energy savings and air quality monitoring to everyday spaces.
