Ten days ago Microsoft and Apple together blocked iCloud from installing on Windows 10 October 2018 update and vice versa due to an incompatibility which caused issues updating or synching Shared Albums in iCloud.

At the time Microsoft said it was working with Apple on a fix, and now AppleInsider reports that the latest version of iCloud (7.8.1) now claims support for “Windows 7 or later.” Previously the app claimed only “Windows 7 through Windows 10 April 2018 Update.”

Microsoft has been working at resolving the remaining issues with the Windows 10 October 2018 update, having already fixed the file deleting issue and the file association issue.

The latest version of the app can be downloaded here.
