Halo Wars 2 is coming out next year, but 343’s making the wait a little easier (or a little harder, your choice) by showing off some of the game’s story. It gives a behind the scenes look at some of the story, and you can check out the video below.
Halo Wars 2 is set almost three decades after the end of Halo Wars 1, and starts off with the crew of the Spirit of Fire waking from cryosleep above a location that will be very, very familiar to fans of Halo 3. The team only sees one sign of life: a sign coming from below the Ark, the structure that created the Halo rings.
The video goes on to detail some characters, including both the returning cast and the new antagonist, Atriox. It’s all very interesting, and we can’t wait to see more.
Halo Wars 2 will launch on February 21st in 2017 for both the Xbox One and for Windows 10.
