Microsoft is rolling out an update to Cortana for Android powered devices (via Windows Central) that adds a new Home Screen interface and an interface that’s more similar to Microsoft’s Skype and Outlook apps.  It’s bolder and more colourful.

The firm has also added access to your phones ‘now playing’ interface, so you can control what music is playing without having to open the full Cortana app. You can also quickly access email and reminders directly from Cortana home with the new buttons the firm has added.

Cortana on Android offers the following features:

  • Bring your personal assistant to your phone to help you keep track of the important stuff wherever you are, across your devices.
  • Set a reminder on your PC to pick something up at the store and she’ll alert you on your phone when you get there.
  • Miss a call on your phone and she’ll let you know on your PC, and send a reply text for you.
  • If traffic’s a mess and you need to leave early to make that meeting, Cortana’s got your back.
  • If you need to find a fast answer or info on a flight or package, just ask.

You can download Cortana from the Google Play Store link here.
