Back on December AdBlock Plus have already confirmed they intended to support Microsoft’s Edge browser once Extensions were enabled.
Now that Extensions have finally arrived the company has also confirmed that they have started work on the port, saying:
@mjtappert @Busster95 @MicrosoftEdge We're working on it as we speak. Just waiting for Microsoft to allow us to be released. 🙂

Microsoft’s Extensions architecture follows the same schema as Google’s plugins, which should in most cases make porting a breeze.
Microsoft has earlier confirmed that they are planning to support extensions on Windows 10 Mobile also, though it is expected that this will be much after the desktop version gets support.
For many readers supporting AdBlock is a minimum requirement for using the Edge browser, though we hope our readers who do block ads will occasionally buy a Surface Book or two via our affiliate links right 😉
