AccuWeather today released an update for its Windows 10 (PC and Mobile). The Accuweather app offers:
- AccuWeather MinuteCast® – minute-by-minute precipitation forecasts for the next two hours hyper-localized to your exact street address. Available for a growing list of global locations.
- Severe weather notices to keep you ahead of the storm.
- Large, medium, small, and wide Live Tiles for all your favorite locations. Tiles automatically peek and refresh with current forecasts and weather maps.
- Fully interactive, full-screen Bing Maps overlaid with AccuWeather’s precise weather data, including U.S., Canadian, European, and Japanese radar.
- New Dark Theme
- Enhanced Cortana Voice Integration
- Enabled Lock Screen slide show (PC/Tablet only)
- Watch Hours of Selected Content in Weather Videos
The update brings along a number of new features, including:
- New In App Purchases
- Future radar
- Enabled Syncing of Settings
- Bug fixes
- Performance enhancements
Future Radar expands AccuWeather’s weather map features by providing detailed, interactive forecasts on the progression and intensity of rain, snow, and ice, for the next two hours. By accessing maps, users can instantly see oncoming storms – through the use of vibrant colors, movement, and timeframe animation – in a modern, intuitive interface. The interactive maps also give users the ability to pan, zoom, and view the future movement and intensity of precipitation anywhere in the country.
