May 21, 2025 — WhatsApp’s latest beta update for Android (version 2.25.17.10) is now available through the Google Play Beta Program. With this release, WhatsApp has started building a new tool that will let users export activity logs related to its Private Processing feature.

This tool isn’t live yet, but the update reveals its direction. Private Processing handles AI-powered features like message summaries and writing suggestions directly on the device. The upcoming export option will let users pull reports showing how their data was used during those actions.

Users will be able to choose between two timeframes: 15 minutes or three days. The shorter option helps check one-off interactions, while the longer range supports deeper reviews. Reports will remain local, WhatsApp and Meta won’t receive any of the exported data.

Once created, users can open the file with other apps or save it wherever they prefer. WhatsApp is still testing the feature and hasn’t confirmed a release date.

This marks WhatsApp’s move to give users more control over how AI-driven features use their data, without sending it off-device.
