Speech Recap allows users to access a history of the last 500 phrases spoken by using the Narrator feature, with quick reference citations and live transcription. Users can quickly open the Speech Recap window by pressing the Narrator key + Alt + X to review and copy previously spoken content. Moreover, the shortcut Narrator key + Control + X can also be used to immediately copy the last spoken phrase without opening the window. ?
Few scenarios where you can use speech recap and related shortcuts include referring to a hint you heard when opening a new window, copying an error code that was spoken or adding Narrator speech to training materials.
The real-time text-to-speech via the Narrator ?feature is particularly helpful for Assistive Technology trainers, educators of visually impaired students, and professionals who are hard of hearing.
In the same update, Microsoft also rolled out the Quick Machine Recovery feature, about which you can read more here.
