Varjo is a Finnish startup working on VR/AR/XR computing devices and software experiences. Today, Varjo announced a new 2D/3D immersive UI code-named ‘Varjo Workspace’. Varjo Workspace allows anyone to use Windows desktop applications and 3D software in VR/AR environment. You can also easily switch between real, virtual and mixed reality modes.
With Varjo Workspace, it’s now possible to have infinitely-adjustable multiple monitors and to work simultaneously within 2D and 3D worlds – this is a critical part of Varjo’s vision of the future of computing. Through Varjo’s Dimensional Interface, professional users can now both experience and modify their 3D models without ever taking off their headset.
Unlike other VR solutions in the market, Varjo is focused on the high-end market targeting professionals. Varjo’s XR-1 Developer Edition headset has a resolution of more than 60 pixels per degree, which is 20X+ higher than any other VR headset in the market. And this headset costs $9,995 USD, Software and Support service costs an additional $1,995 and you can enjoy this new Varjo Workspace after updating XR-1’s software.
