Update: According to Bigmoon Entertainment, Syndrome has been pushed back to late September for more polishing. It’s unclear if Microsoft received the new information. Either ways, let’s see how this plays out and if Microsoft releases the game early like some other titles in the past. If Syndrome doesn’t come out, we can recommend Mafia III: Sign of the Times in its place. Additionally, Wuppo and Vostok Inc. have been delayed to September and August respectively.

Every week a handful of games release on Xbox One and many elude owners of the console due to their timid marketing. Xbox Wire makes sure you know about them but can’t provide gamers with recommendations. A lot of these titles are absolutely phenomenal and it’s a shame that they aren’t noticed. Here are some games coming out between July 24 and July 28 which you should check out. Some of the experiences are quite obvious while others may surprise you.

Aven Colony

Venture to the stars and build a new home for humanity in Aven Colony. On Aven Prime, an alien planet full of deserts, tundras and wetlands far from Earth, you’ll have to build your colony into a sprawling city while dealing with all of the challenges of settling on a new world. It’s like Cities: Skylines but not on Earth.

Syndrome

Awaken from a deep slumber to discover a bloodcurdling scene: most of the ship’s crew are dead. To survive the horror of what’s left of the crew, arm yourself with the few weapons that are scattered about and deal with the transformed monstrosities lurking in the shadows of the ship who react violently to every movement and noise.

Fable Fortune

A collectible card game that combines the iconic world and characters of the Fable series with fast-paced tactical gameplay. Choose between Good and Evil to alter special abilities and even the cards in your deck. Compete in leagues and events, or take on a boss with a friend in co-operative mode. Whether you’re new to card games or a veteran, it’s time to return to Albion in Fable Fortune!

Infinite Minigolf

Thanks to a robust toolset to create your own mini golf course to share with the community, Infinite Minigolf lives up to its name with a never-ending mini golf experience. You can also take part in tournaments and other challenges to experience the game’s unique arcade style.

Super Cloudbuilt

Take on the role of Demi, a young soldier who wakes up in the empty shell of a ruined building, in a strange new world, disconnected from her old life and physical body. Use your skill and creativity while mastering incredible feats of free-running action across 200 challenges and three game modes.

Apart from the games mentioned above, Xbox One is getting Canadian Football 2017, Cyber Complex, Fortnite (for those who didn’t preorder), GRIDD: Retroenhanced, Mafia III: Sign of the Times, Pressure Overdrive, Unbox: Newbie’s Adventure, and Vostok Inc. There might be other surprise releases in there too like the recent ACA NeoGeo Zed Blade. Word has it that Rugby League Live 4 and Wuppo are also coming out but we aren’t sure. This week might not be as eventful as the last few put together, but it still includes some fun titles. All of these are great experiences Xbox One owners should try out.
