With the arrival of a preview of Windows 10 for the dekstop many of us are getting rather antsy for the same thing on the phone platform.
Joe Belfiore has poured some cold water on the idea, saying “we wont be talking about phones for a number of months.”
@ItsLawdeleeno the Tech Preview program is aimed at PCs-only for quite awhile. We wont be talking about phones for a number of months…

This does raise the question of course of how many months exactly is a number of months. The meaning of the phrase “number of” seems rather up to debate, with some suggesting it means 2-3 and others many more.
We have heard speculation that Microsoft will introduce Windows 10 at Mobile World Congress, much like they have done with other major mobile operating system announcements. That is only 4 months away, which I think would safely fall in my definition of “number”. It does seem pretty safe to say however that it will be coming to handsets as a Developer Preview, which is a massive improvement over having to wait and wait on carrier updates.
