Peter Skillman, director of design for Skype and Outlook, has announced on Twitter that the Skype Mobile app is getting a significant usability improvement.

He revealed that Skype for iOS users will soon be able to save a number in Skype from the contacts or Dialpad.

After that, the next improvement will be the ability to add and edit your existing Skype contacts’ numbers too.

Much of these features are only available on the desktop at present, making these improvements an essential adaptation for a mobile-first world.

The Skype team has in recent months been working very hard at listening to their users, which has involved reversing a number of changes which have accumulated over the last few years, including removing a Snapchat Stories-like feature and adding back a multi-window experience.

Is this a feature our Skype-using readers have been missing? Let us know below.
