Samsung recently announced the new Exynos 1080, a 5G mobile processor for premium mid-range smartphones. This upcoming 5nm EUV process-based chip will deliver several flagship smartphone features to mid-range devices.
The integrated modem supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz, enabling downlink speeds of up to 5.1Gbps. The AI processor in this chip will support up to 5.7 trillion operations per second. The processor’s octa-core CPU consists of one Arm Cortex-A78 core optimized for peak performance, three Cortex-A78 cores for balanced processing, and four Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency.  The processor’s support for refresh rates of up to 144Hz in Full HD+ enables a highly smooth and interactive touch response and it supports up to 200MP and up to six individual camera sensors.
