Roamit is Universal Windows Platform app that lets you transfer pictures, files, photos, and more between your Windows 10 devices and your Android phone.

The app is in principle similar to Continue on PC which lets you transfer web links and pictures from their Android or iOS device to their Windows 10 PC using Microsoft’s apps like Cortana, Microsoft Edge, and Microsoft Launcher (Android only). These apps offer a slightly limited Continue on PC experience at the moment, with the main limitation with Microsoft’s implementation of Continue on PC in Windows 10 being that you can’t transfer things from your PC to your phone.

Roamit solves this issue by letting you transfer content between any Windows 10 devices and your Android device. You can transfer content between your Windows 10 devices, or you can even transfer content between your Windows 10 device and your Android phone. The app lets you transfer all kinds of files: zip, mp4, CSS, anything. The app comes with an extension for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox that’ll let you easily open a webpage from your PC on another device — it’s not the most convenient system as it starts the whole app, but it gets the job done.

Roamit also has a Universal Clipboard. The feature lets you sync your clipboard across all of your devices — so for example, if you copy something on your Windows 10 PC, it will automatically be available on your Android device.

The developer has now made the app completely free and open source, with the in-app purchase now $0 (previously $1.49 and soon to be removed completely in a future update).

If you use a Windows 10 PC and have an Android phone, you should definitely give Roamit a try. It’s a pretty amazing app, considering the fact that it was developed by a single independent developer. Check it out below.
