The Spiceworks Community includes IT pros working in companies of all sizes all around the globe. The Spiceworks data team today reported the data on Windows 10 adoption after crunching some numbers from anonymized, aggregated usage data. According to their data, Windows 10 adoption in the enterprise stands at 18% after 6 months of availability. Spiceworks predicts this number might go up to 40% by July 2016. By increasing adoption by 7% since October, Windows 10 remains the most quickly adopted Windows operating system ever.

It took approximately 1 year for Windows 7 and more than 15 months for Windows 8 to pass the 200 million device usage mark. Windows 10 accomplished the same feat in approximately half the time of Windows 7. Additionally, Spiceworks data shows that the Windows 8 penetration rate in businesses was only 9.3% after 6 months of its launch. In contrast, Windows 10 penetration reached a rate nearly twice as high within the same time period.

Spiceworks data also revealed that Windows 10 has the highest adoption rate in North America and it is more popular among large enterprises. Check out the full data from the source link below.
