You can now pre-order PlayStation 5 consoles on one specific retailer. If you want to be the first to get your name attached to an upcoming PS5 system, here’s where you can slap down your dosh.
Out of every retailer right now, only Belgian retailer Game Mania allows you to purchase the system.
“The PlayStation 5 has been officially announced,” the website reads. “Do you want to be sure that you  can play on Sony’s newest game console from day one ? Reserve the PS5 at Game Mania to get on the waiting list!”
From yesterday onwards, potential customers can put their names down to get the new system on release day. For those purchasing through the Belgian website, Game Mania does require a deposit amount of €50 to be put down. The final price of the system is currently unknown.
“Your deposit of € 50 will of course be deducted from the final price of the PS5,” Game Mania writes. “So you pay nothing extra. If you wish to cancel your reservation, you will receive your deposit back in cash. You are therefore not committed to anything!”
Hilariously, the store page for the system already features 265 user reviews at the time of writing. Despite not being out until next year’s holiday season, potential customers have already given the system an average rating of 3.9/5.
Sony’s next-generation system is far from release, but it is sounding like a good entry for the next-gen gaming experience. With a revamped controller, ray-tracing hardware and, finally, a 4K blu-ray drive, Sony is certainly creating some interesting hardware. How it’ll stack up against Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Scarlett is unknown, but we expect a fair fight.
