The last few episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final season will be published by Epic and released exclusively on the Epic Games Store, Game Informer are reporting.

As we previously reported, The Walking Dead: The Final Season was halted mid-production after Telltale Games was forced to shut down earlier in the year.

However, the series was picked up by Skybound Games, who said they would be picking up where Telltale left off with the help of some former Telltale developers. It turns out that Epic have had a hand in this transition and in the development of the final episodes.

Skybound president Dan Murray and Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe released a statement saying that they’re “excited to work together on their latest transformative event with the launch of the Epic Games Store.”

“Epic stepped up to the plate immediately to work with us in order to bring the original team back together and ensure fans will receive the completed season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season.”

Game Informer add that if you’ve already purchased The Walking Dead: The Final Season on Steam or another online store, you will still receive the final episodes from that store.

If you haven’t pre-purchased the game on PC, though, your only choice is now through the Epic Games Store. This move will not affect console players and platforms at all.

The third and penultimate episode in The Walking Dead: The Final Season is due out January 15th. The game is available on Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
