Origin is today launching its latest gaming laptop powered by Windows 10: The EON15-S The company’s latest gaming laptop is a budget laptop, which means it doesn’t really come with the latest and greatest specs for gaming. But the laptop still includes some good specs that will offer an impressive performance while gaming.

First things first, the device comes with Intel’s latest Kaby Lake processors. Origin is actually offering three different processors for the EON15-S, and you can choose from either the dual-core Core i3-7100H (clocked at 3.00GHz), quad-core Core i5-7300HQ (clocked at 2.50GHz), or the quad-core Core i7-7700HQ (clocked at 2.80GHz).

Despite being a gaming laptop, the device includes a fairly low-end display and that’s probably because of its budget pricing. For $999, you’ll get a 15.6-inch FHD IPS Matte display on the EON15-S which is good enough for a budget gaming laptop — but if you want to get a much better gaming experience, you’d probably want a 4K display, or at least UHD.

As for the GPU, Origin is packing the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB RAM, which means it’s capable of powering VR headsets like the HTC Vivie. You can also get up to 32GB of DD4 RAM on the EON15-S.

For $999, the Origin EON15-S seems like a pretty decent gaming laptop in terms of specs. You’re obviously not getting the best of the best with the EON15-S because of its budget pricing, and that’s completely fine, to be honest.
