OnePlus teases the upcoming OnePlus 7T; the 7 series succesor is confirmed for September 26 release

OnePlus has recently dropped a new teaser for its upcoming OnePlus 7 series successor, the OnePlus 7T on YouTube. Aside from the teaser, there is another big announcement from the company.

As confirmed by the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, the OnePlus 7T series will be launched at an event on September 26 in New Delhi(19:00 IST), India and on October 10 in London(16:00 BST). OnePlus will also live stream the entire event on YouTube, Twitter, and OnePlus.com.

According to recently leaked specifications, OnePlus 7T is going to be equipped with 7nm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and will have support for 5G. The smartphone will offer 8GB primary memory, and for storage, you have two choices — 128GB and 256GB. The GPU performance is also expected to be decent, with the Adreno 640. Moreover, the smartphone will feature a 6.55? 2K Fluid AMOLED(2400×1080 / 402 PPI) 90hz HDR10+ Display with a smaller notch.

OnePlus 7T will have a decent camera. We’re talking about 48MP(f/1.6 with OIS + EIS)+16MP(f/2.2 Ultra-Wide with 120° field of view )+12MP(f/2.2 with 2x Zoom) rear camera, 16MP front(f/2.0 with EIS). Other features include New Macro mode for closer shots, Nightscape mode, Super Slow-Motion recording at 960FPS 720p. And powering the smartphone will be a decent 3800mAH battery.

One the other hand, the OnePlus 7T pro will be powered by the same processor that is the Snapdragon 855 Plus and the same GPU Adreno 640. The 7T Pro will be available in one storage option and that is 256GB. The smartphone will have 8GB of RAM.

The 7T Pro smartphone will feature a 6.65-inch(3100×1440 / 516 PPI) Fluid AMOLED 90hz HDR10+ Display with no notch.

Talking about the cameras, it’s going be a triple camera set-up, with 48MP(f/1.6 with OIS + EIS)+8MP(f/2.4 with 3x Zoom )+16MP(f/2.2 Ultra-wide with 120° field of view) at the back, 16MP front(f/2.0 with EIS). Other features include New Macro mode for closer shots, Nightscape mode, Super Slow-Motion recording at 960FPS 720p. And powering the smartphone will be a slightly better 4085mAH battery.

Both the smartphones will be powered by Android 10-based Oxygen OS.
