OnePlus is rumored to replace the OnePlus Nord 2 lineup with a new OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone. According to sources close to various reliable tipsters, the smartphone may not launch any time soon, but the good news is that it’ll be priced below Rs. 35,000, which roughly translates to $469, in India.
According to a tipster, who goes by the name ofย Sam(@Shadow_Leak) on Twitter, the base variant of the new OnePlus Nord 2T will be priced under Rs. 35,000. Currently, the base variant of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G costs Rs. 29,000($388). So, if the rumors are true, the Nord 2T will be more expensive than the current Nord 2. And it’ll be interesting to see how OnePlus justifies the increase in price.
Previous rumors suggested that the OnePlus Nord 2T would debut in Indian markets in April-May. Unfortunately, there is no clarity over the exact launch date. Hopefully, we’ll get some clarity on that very soon.
In another tweet, the tipster has also mentioned that OnePlus Nord CE 2 will go official on February 11, which is in line with what popular Indian tipsterย Yogesh Brar claimed previously.
Coming back to Nord 2T, this will be the first ‘T’ branded Nord smartphone from OnePlus. The Chinese brand is known for releasing ‘T’ branded high-end phones, but the company stopped releasing them last year, and as a result, the OnePlus 9T never saw daylight. It’s interesting to see that the Shenzhen tech firm is reviving the ‘T’ brand, but this time around, however, it’s targeting the mid-range category.

The OnePlus Nord 2T will feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies and video calling, it will use a 32MP front camera.
