Official Facebook app missing from Marketplace in some regions

We have been receiving reports from readers that the official Facebook app for Windows Phone has done a disappearing act from the Windows Phone Store.

Shane writes that it has definitely disappeared from the Irish store, while Tauqeer writes that is has disappeared from the Canadian Marketplace also.

It seems with recent marketplace changes applications disappear from Marketplace before an updated version shows up, as happened recently with the Lync app.

It is therefore possible we are all just waiting for a new, updated and shiny version of this essential app.
