Yesterday important German football player Thomas Hitzlsperger came out as homosexual. While many German football fans were reacting positively some were also intolerant about the player’s sexual orientation. Today Nokia Germany posted on Twitter and Facebook a tweet with reference to the actual news saying “Life is colorful and that’s good!” with a picture of a “rainbow” made of Lumias. The rainbow (or the rainbow colors) are a symbol of the gay community.

As the tweet is still very new and was also posted at a late time in a regular work week it does not have many reactions yet, and while WMPoweruser as a site does not want to take party in political or social discussions I personally think tolerance is an important topic and seeing such a big company taking action in such clashes is very good – as long as it does not get intolerant against other opinions of course.
