At today’s Windows 10 Devices event Microsoft revealed that Windows 10 is off to a good start, not just in terms of installs, with more than 110 million devices running the OS, but also by great engagement with the store, with for example move time on netflix being spent in the app than the website.

As part the the universal app revolution Microsoft also revealed that new Universal Windows Apps were coming for Facebook, Instagram and Messenger, which will for the first time bring Instagram to the desktop, and should also benefit Windows phones, where the Instagram app has not been updated in years.

It appears Microsoft’s Windows 10 strategy is working exactly as they planned, which is of course great news not just for the desktop, but also for Windows devices

Keep an eye on the site for more of the latest from the event today.
