NBA 2K21 Neighborhood mode is transformed into a city for next-gen

The underwhelming NBA 2K21 Neighborhood mode is getting upgraded for the game’s next-gen conversion.

Used as a hub for matches and customisation, the NBA 2K21 Neighborhood mode is a small cul-de-sac area in the NBA games that echos back to the tight-knit feel of urban basketball. In the upcoming next-gen version of 2K’s basketball game transforms that into a massive city.

“Here at Visual Concepts, we see the dawn of a new generation as a chance to plant our flag and showcase to the world the kind of experiences we are capable of delivering to our dedicated fanbase,” the NBA developers revealed in a press release.

“Born through a vision we started many years ago, NBA 2K21’s The City represents exactly that sentiment. The freedom afforded to us by the open-ended nature of The City is one we plan to grow with and into over the coming years.”

NBA 2K21 has come under fire recently got their introduction of unskippable ads for Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 into the game. 2K has stated that the introduction of ads was not intentional.
