On May 28, Xbox released Musical Vibes RX, a new mobile rhythm game that uses your phone’s camera to track full-body dance moves. Available on iOS and Android, the game invites players to follow on-screen choreography using real-time motion capture through their device’s front-facing camera.

Xbox Game Studio’s Tokyo team built Musical Vibes RX using AI-powered pose estimation to recognize your movement. It doesn’t require special hardware or wearables—just your smartphone and space to move. The game features colorful characters, energetic tracks, and choreography tuned for players of all skill levels.

Players can choose from various routines, competing for high scores while improving their timing and accuracy. The system flags missed moves and praises correct ones, helping users stay in rhythm. Xbox says it prioritized accessibility by letting players switch to hand-tracking if full-body movement isn’t possible.

The Tokyo-based studio took feedback from previous Kinect-era titles to streamline setup and avoid awkward calibration. While the game focuses on fun, it also offers a solid physical workout, especially at higher difficulty levels.Musical Vibes RX is now live in the Xbox app on both platforms and free to download, with optional cosmetic purchases available in-game.
