Microsoft announced its plans for the next generation BPOS last year that Office Live Small Business and Live@Edu services will be replaced by Office 365. Office 365 brings together Microsoft Office 2010, Office Web Apps, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Lync Online into a single package for small businesses, enterprises, and educational institutions. After months of beta testing Office 365 is soon to be launched on June 28. The New York launch event will feature Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Office 365’s general availability on June28th was confirmed by the head of the Microsoft partner organization. So if you are an IT admin, time to plan for a meeting with your CIO.
