GroupMe iOS App

Microsoft today released an update to GroupMe app for iOS. This update v5.1.0 includes the much awaited Calendar integration. You can now create events within the app describing location, time, and other info, members will get alerts at appropriate time. Also, you can now mention people with ‘@’ followed by the name to immediately get the attention of that person.

What’s New in Version 5.1.0:

  • You’ve been asking for this feature for a long while and now its here: we’ve added Calendar to GroupMe. We’re sorry if this makes your standard excuse of “Oh, that was tonight?!” invalid.
  • Just name it. Describe it. Add a location. Maybe even a photo. A couple of alerts later and hooray! It’s a party.
  • Also, @-mentions are in! Just type an ‘@’ in a group to immediately get the attention of that person who is definitely ignoring you.

Download the update here from App Store.
