Microsoft is currently in the process of fulfilling one of their earlier promises, which was to introduce new modern office icons across all platform. The company announced the new modern Office icons in the month of November last year. The software giant has since then been rolling out the new icons for its office app in a phased manner.

Microsoft has finally started to pay attention to its “not-so-much-used” office apps — Mail and Calendar and it appears that the Redmond giant is ready to ship it to the public as the icons for the Mail and Calendar app for Android has been leaked online, thanks to Aggiornamenti Lumia. This is what the new icons for Mail and Calendar will look like:

Left: New icon for Mail for Android | Right: New icon for Calendar for Android

Edit: It appears that the icons for Mail and Calendar apps won’t be similar across platforms. The icons for the UWP version will be a bit different from those of the Android version. Here is how they are going to be different:

Left: New icon for Mail UWP for Windows 10 | Right: New icon for Calendar UWP for Windows 10

It, however, isn’t clear as to when Microsoft is going to roll out these new icons to the public. But, the leaking of new icons hints that Microsoft is going to bring them to the public soon.
