The GSMA today announced the winners of the 20th Global Mobile Awards, which were presented this afternoon at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The winners were announced in a ceremony hosted by actor, comedian, writer and film producer John Cleese. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was selected as the best mobile tablet.
Its very carefully engineered design bridges the worlds of consumption and creation like no other. Users can embrace the tablet form factor leaving their PC behind with no regrets.
Dennis Meinhardt, director of program management for Microsoft Surface, said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be winning this award.
“Surface Pro 3 is the world’s most productive tablet, and is a tablet that can replace your laptop. With Surface Pro 3 we have managed to marry the hardware and software to provide the power and performance of a full laptop without compromising the sleek design, lightness, and great battery life that we expect from a tablet.
“On behalf of the whole Surface team – thank you!”
The Global Mobile Awards are judged by more than 300 independent experts, analysts, journalists, academics, and in some cases, mobile operator representatives. Congrats, Panos Panay and Surface team.
