Key notes

  • Windows 11 24H2 LTSC is rumored for September release, but official confirmation is pending.
  • Leaked build suggests new features, however caution advised due to potential instability.

Microsoft is gearing up for the release of Windows 11 24H2 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) later this year. While an official ISO isn’t available yet, information about a build (26100) has surfaced online.

The leaked information shows that Microsoft might have finalized build 26100 as the RTM (Release To Manufacturing) version for Windows 11 24H2 LTSC. This build is being tested through the Windows Insider program and is expected to receive further refinements before the official launch in September.

Downloading and installing such builds is not recommended as they might contain bugs or security vulnerabilities.

The minimum specifications appear unchanged from the previous LTSC version, requiring a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage. Notably, both solid-state drives (SSDs) and hard disk drives (HDDs) are mentioned as compatible storage options.

It’s important to clarify that the hardware requirements mentioned above apply specifically to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC, a separate product from the IoT Windows 11 LTSC.

While the official release is still a few months away, this information provides a basic idea of the features and hardware compatibility to expect. Remember to wait for Microsoft’s official channels for confirmed details and a safe download option.
