kidscorner

Kids Corner is a unique Windows Phone feature which allows one to easily and safety hand your phone to a child, knowing they will not ben able to access your data – that is as long as the 3 year old can enter a password.

Until now, if you had a password on your main account you had to enter a password to enter kids corner, and if you did not, simply turning your phone on and off will give the child full access to your start screen.

It seems however this annoying issue, which has made Kids Corner rather useless, has been fixed in Windows Phone 8.1, meaning even when your main start screen is password protected Kids Corner is still accessible without a password.

This improvement is just one of the many annoyances Windows Phone 8.1 addresses.  Read more of our Windows Phone 8.1 coverage here.
