Microsoft expands free headphones and Office 365 offer to Surface Book line

While Apple touts its “courage” in removing the ubiquitous and very useful headphone jack from its expensive devices and replacing them with an expensive add-on, Microsoft is rewarding buyers of its own expensive yet premium Surface Book devices with headphones of their own.

Much like the Surface Pro 4 before it, Microsoft is offering to users a special deal of ” Office 365 + Master & Dynamic ME05 Earphones worth £159.00″.  With this offer, you get a year ofOffice 365 personalwhich can be used for one PC, One Mac, and One tablet. The pack offers access to commonly used Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote as well as a subscription to Skype Unlimited.

On the positive side of things, unlike the Surface Pro 4 deals which are tiered, you get the same deal no matter which Surface Book you buy. On the negative side, however, you get the same deal no matter how  much you spend , which means there’s no access to extras like a Surface Dock, a Monitor, and the Surface Arc Mouse on higher end purchases like the 1TB, 16GB iteration.

The deal runs from today the 8th of September through the 21st of September, so you have two weeks to decide whether you’ll be taking advantage of it or otherwise.
