On May 29, 2025, Microsoft officially released Edge Game Assist for all Windows 11 users. This feature integrates a browser directly into the Game Bar, allowing players to access web content without leaving their game. By pressing Win+G, users can open Game Assist to browse guides, stream music, or chat on Discord, all within the game interface.

Game Assist detects the game being played and offers relevant tips and walkthroughs. For enhanced games, it proactively suggests content to assist players. Users can pin the browser overlay to keep it visible during gameplay, facilitating multitasking like watching tutorials or managing playlists.

The feature syncs with the user’s Edge browser data, providing access to favorites, history, and extensions. Recent updates have expanded support to over 80 games, including titles like Apex Legends and Dead by Daylight. Additional enhancements include auto-fill for forms and passwords, Compact Mode support, and improved controller compatibility.

Microsoft encourages feedback to refine Game Assist further. Players can submit suggestions directly through the Game Assist interface. To activate, ensure Microsoft Edge is updated to version 137 or later, then press Win+G during gameplay to launch Game Assist.
