Microsoft released the optional KB5058502 update for Windows 11 versions 22H2 and 23H2, advancing builds to 22621.5413 and 22631.5413. This update reintroduces the Win + C keyboard shortcut to launch Copilot, which had been previously removed when Copilot transitioned to a web app. Users can now customize this shortcut via Settings.

The update also brings customizable lock screen widgets for users in the European Economic Area. The weather widget can now be tailored through Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.

A new drag-and-drop share tray appears when users move files to the top of the screen, offering quick sharing options. Administrators gain more control over taskbar pins with the new PinGeneration policy, allowing specific apps to remain unpinned across updates.

Several fixes address issues like blue screen errors (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION), memory leaks in the Input Service, and voice access stability during dictation. However, a known issue affects the clarity of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean text at 96 DPI in Chromium-based browsers.

Users can install this optional update by navigating to Settings > Windows Update and selecting โ€œDownload and install.
