LinkedIn today announced a new feature called “Career Advice” to members in the US, UK, India and Australia. This new feature will help LinkedIn members find and connect with the right person who can help them in their career path advice, best practices for a project they are working on, and more.
To use this feature, go to the new Career Advice hub in your dashboard on the LinkedIn Profile page and enter your preferences for the type of advice you looking to give or receive.
LinkedIn team is also exploring ways to specify if you ‘d like to mentor certain communities, like people facing unique barriers to economic opportunity. When you find a match, you’ll be alerted and you can then send a message to start a conversation about the advice you need.
Since more than 530 million professionals are part of the LinkedIn community, you will be able to find people from a wide range of knowledge, skills and resources to help them. LinkedIn is planning to roll out this Career Advice feature globally in the coming months.
