In the wake of some serious Kingdom Hearts III leaks being circulated online, Director Tetsuya Nomura has promised fans that the Kingdom Hearts team will try their best to ‘better the situation’ and has asked fans not to share any videos or pictures of the leaks.

Nomura went on to say that Kingdom Hearts III’s epilogue and secret movie, the biggest spoilers in the game, are planned to be released at a later date so that they can’t be leaked prior to the game’s release. The epilogue and movie will presumably appear in a launch-day patch.

He also thanked fans for not sharing any spoilers and apologized profusely to those who have had Kingdom Hearts III spoiled for them. Nomura hopes that we can all ‘enjoy the game together’ when it releases in early 2019.

Kingdom Hearts III is set to launch on January 29th 2019 (or January 25th for those in Japan) on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is the twelfth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II (released in 2005), the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga, and a story about how friendship always prevails, even against all the odds.
