Huawei launches Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro: Price, specs, availability, and all that you need to know

Huawei has finally launched Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro at an event in Munich, Germany. The Mate 30 and the Mate 30 Pro are Huawei’s first Android smartphones that’ll ship globally without Google’s apps.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro

Huawei Mate 30 Pro is powered by the latest 16-core Kirin 990 processor, which is also world’s first processor with integrated 5G modem. The smartphone features a 6.53-inch curved OLED display with a screen resolution of 2400×1176. Beyond that, you get an 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage.

Talking about the camera, the smartphone has an impressive system at the back, we’re talking 40MP 27mm f/1.8 primary lens, 16MP 17mm f/2.2 ultra-wide, 8MP 80mm f/2.4 OIS telephoto, 40MP “Cine Camera.” That’s right, four cameras! You’ll also be able to record 4K videos at 60fps. For selfies, the Mate 30 Pro has a 32 MP selfie shooter.

Other specs include a 4,500mAh battery, with support for 40W wired and 27W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, and an in-display fingerprint reader. It will be available in five different color options — Space Silver, Cosmic Purple, Emerald Green, Vegan Leather Forest Green, Vegan Leather Orange.

The smartphone set you back 1,100 euros($1,216) for the regular version, while the 5G variant will cost you 1,200 euros($1,326).

Huawei Mate 30

The Mate 30 Pro is also powered by the Kirin 990 processor, but it lacks the 5G capability. Add to that, the Mate 30 has 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory and features a 6.62-inch flat OLED panel, with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080.

The camera on this phone is also expected to decent as it has 40MP 27mm f/1.8 primary lens, 16MP 17mm f/2.2 ultra-wide, 8MP 80mm f/2.4 OIS telephoto, laser focus. The smartphone rocks 24MP front shooter to capture selfies. Powering the smartphone will be a 4200mAh battery.

The Mate 30 will cost you 800 euros($884) and will be available in six different color options — Black, Space Silver, Cosmic Purple, Emerald Green, Vegan Leather Forest Green, Vegan Leather Orange.

Additionally, Huawei also launched Porsche Design Huawei Mate 30 RS variant. It’ll cost you 2100 euros($2,320).

Both Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will run Android 10-based EMUI 10 out of the box.
