At its Windows 10 devices event today, Microsoft showed off the new Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and the Band 2. The company showed off its first laptop — the Surface Book. The device includes a 13.5-inch device, the new PixelSense technology, the new Surface Pen, the Gorilla Glass 4, and more. The new Surface Book packs new DDR5 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GPU, and Microsoft states the device will offer a battery life of 12 hours. Unsurprisingly enough, the device is 2 times faster than the MacBook Pro.
Alongside the Surface Book, Microsoft also revealed the new Pro device. The new Surface Pro 4 features the same design language as its predecessor, but it comes with lots of improvements. It is thinner and lighter than ever. First, the display has been increased by reducing the bezel size. It is powered by Intel 6th Gen Skylake processors offering improved battery life and performance over last gen models. It also comes with Windows Hello fingerprint scanner and the thinnest TypeCover.
Microsoft has also introduced a new Band wearable device at the event. With Band 2, Microsoft is trying to fix it with a curved display with fits well in our hands. Also, the overall design of the Band have been refined in the v2 of this product and it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In addition to the design, Microsoft has also packed more sensors this time. Barometer will now allow users to track the number of steps they have climbed.
