Google is enhancing its presentation tool with a fresh wave of professionally designed templates in Google Slides, aiming to help users craft impactful presentations more efficiently. Announced on April 22, 2025, this update introduces templates tailored for diverse use cases including business proposals, product pitches, marketing plans, team celebrations, and more.

These additions follow last year’s rollout of modern templates and are designed to eliminate the blank canvas challenge. This is done by offering users a visually cohesive and professional starting point. The focus is on allowing users to spend less time formatting and more time crafting compelling stories.

End users can now access these templates through a new sidebar or via the Insert > Templates menu. Users have the flexibility to select individual slides or insert complete decks before customizing them with their own content.

The templates are available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts, provided they are using the “English (United States)” language setting. The Google Slides update will be gradually rolled out starting April 22 for Rapid Release domains, with Scheduled Release domains following on May 6.
