Google is expanding its Smart Replies feature from direct messages to group messages and spaces on Chat on web.

As announced in an updated official blog, this means that users can now quickly respond to teammates in group conversations using pre-generated replies based on the context of the conversation.

Take a look at how it works below:

Smart Replies uses machine learning intelligence to recognize which messages most likely need responses and then proposes up to three different replies.

This can save users time and help them to be more productive, especially when they are on the go or in a hurry.

The Smart Replies feature is available in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. It is enabled by default, but users can turn it off in the Chat settings.

There have been a lot of improvements coming to Google Workspace in recent weeks.

Besides this, the tech giant announced a new feature that would allow IT managers to report abusive speech through content moderation. Admins can review incidents, and it makes it easier for them to take further action.

Oh, didn’t we also mention that the Spaces’ members limit has just been increased to half a million members?
